Broken Refrigerator? OH WELL, PAY FOR YOUR OWN GROCERIES...AGAIN

I moved into a brand-new unit and immediately experienced repeated power failures to the refrigerator, resulting in my groceries being ruined twice within my first week of occupancy. The outages lasted a combined 36+ hours, making the food unsafe to consume.

A work order was submitted on 12/26, yet maintenance did not physically inspect the unit for several days. The issue was only temporarily addressed after I contacted the emergency maintenance line and was walked through troubleshooting...
steps over the phone. Ultimately, the refrigerator had to be replaced—confirming this was not a minor inconvenience.

Despite providing itemized receipts totaling $249.38, management refused to fully reimburse the loss and instead offered a partial token amount. The justification given was that this was “out of their control” and that “new builds may have minor inconveniences,” citing a Construction Addendum.

This explanation is unacceptable. The construction addendum addresses ongoing construction impacts—not habitability failures inside a unit that was already delivered for occupancy. Once a resident is permitted to move in, the unit should be livable, essential appliances should function properly, and food safety should not be compromised.

To make matters worse, after learning that the community manager’s supervisor played a role in the reimbursement decision, I formally requested a meeting with both the community manager and her supervisor to discuss the issue. That request was ignored, leaving no meaningful opportunity for resolution.

While issues can happen, the refusal to take responsibility for documented losses—and the unwillingness to engage when concerns are escalated—is deeply disappointing. This experience reflects a lack of accountability and a dismissive approach to resident concerns.

Prospective renters should be aware of how situations like this are handled before signing a lease.

I hope this feedback encourages more accountability and a more resident-focused approach moving forward.

Who wouldn't want to live on a Resort

Exactly what I thought when I first seen this place I thought I was on a resort and I’ve lived here two months and I still feel like I’m on a resort this place has it all absolutely beautiful, stunning secure, luxurious huge apartments extra large bedrooms, bathrooms, and walk-in closets you can fit a queen bed in… yes that big! Everyone here has been so friendly is like a community that’s your family management is awesome. They will answer all of your questions each and every apartment they... paid attention to detail, absolutely stunning wood floors a soft chestnut color and top quality, a rubber sink drain that removes so it doesn’t look all tattered and torn after pouring things down the sink. You simply remove it and wash it like I said they paid attention to detail bathroom lights that turn off if there’s no movement in 15 minutes so you don’t have to worry when you’re at work if you’ve left the lights on beautiful showers nice wide tubs did I mention that the bathrooms have real tile not plastic inserts again attention to detail they haven’t left nothing out. You have linen closets in the bathrooms so if you need another towel, you don’t have to drip down the hallway to get one because it’s in the bathroom with you. They have thought of everything security patrols the area often it is a gated community. Your children as well as yourself will feel safe and nowadays that’s a plus and it’s important and it’s needed huge beautiful pool really big Jacuzzi beautiful barbecue grills. Did you forget to get some lemons at the grocery store? Well that’s OK because they have lemon trees on Site. Perfect dog park for your animals. Extra large windows nice private patios if you’re looking for a nice luxurious safe place to live with nice neighbors that when you walk by, they actually speak to you then you might want to check in here at the ONA. Very quiet at night peaceful in the daytime as well. Stunning gym amazing, game room or if you work from home, they have several offices. You can use for privacy if your job requires that. No time to stop at Starbucks on your way to work. That’s OK. Swing by the office and grab your Starbucks there..You won’t be disappointed. If you have any maintenance issues, you can put in your maintenance request and Rich or Dennis who are our maintenance guys that are quick to respond courteous very knowledgeable and true rock stars in their field
