Me and my wife have lived in Villa Shatto Apartments for going on 5 years. In that time, we've had two property managers, Ruby and David, and both have been prompt, attentive, and helpful whenever we had a concern.
The apartment community makes it easy to pay your rent, put in maintenance requests, and other matters online. It's been a great experience living here, and I'd recommend it for anyone looking to move to K-Town.

below-par quality and poor management
I am disappointed that I chose to move into this building. It started with the noise: the hardwood floors in the apartments are original, which seems like a nice detail, but what it means is that there is no sound insulation at all. The impact noise is so extreme that you will unfortunately learn all of your upstairs neighbors' habits, no matter the hour of night. Impact noise has kept me up at night regularly and my work has suffered because of it.
The chronic dirtiness of the building, with... used q-tips flung all over the lobby on a weekly basis, and trash on the staircases, is absolutely disgusting to behold. The lobby always smells vaguely of garbage. As long as I've lived here, there has been garbage lying in view somewhere in the lobby or stairs.
Finally, the management. Management changes hands every 3 months or so, so no one is invested in helping out tenants or caring about the building. It is totally impersonal and apathetic. This building management's email address has also suddenly stopped working. I sent an email recently with a question about billing, and it got returned to me twice. Their office number's automated system either hangs up on you or returns you to the main menu while you're trying to dial the extension you need. It feels like a Twilight Zone episode.
Please do not give this building your tenancy. It's not worth it.
