They stole my security deposit. For several months after moving out I kept trying to get information, but they refused to send me anything. In the end I just gave up because I didn’t have time to go there in person and fight with them. I simply want others to know that they will take your deposit under any pretext, no matter the condition of the apartment. I even left some appliances that were essential for living there, but they refused even to give explanation.

Be very cautious
They tell me that they have a couple different studios "currently available", so I set up an appointment to view the specific studio which is at my desired price point.
When I arrive for our appointment three hours later, that studio is suddenly not available for another month, but they have a few much more expensive studios available now.
I say I'm still interested in viewing the studio which I came to see (I've made the trip, after all), and I'm informed that they're only able to show me a... model unit.
That's sort of a waist of my time, I say, but okay... I'll just have to view the actual studio later on.
Nope! I won't be able to see the actual studio at all before renting it because their demand is "so high" that they have a bunch of "pre-leases from out of town"...
Uh... run?

2018 review
The worst place I ever stayed in in my life! Don’t believe the lies they tell you. They will tell you one thing but do another. They are rude. They are unfriendly and always cause you problems. There are roaches in the building and a lot of the appliances don’t work properly. The toilet doesn’t work properly and they never fix it when asked. A lot of the tenants in the building spend all night shouting and screaming and the police are always there. Don’t do it!

Studio
The building is from the 1920's and portrays historic vintage charm. The studios are reasonably priced for 21st Century Los Angeles. The units offer full bathroom and a bachelor kitchen with sink, burner and small fridge. The closets are spacious. The neighborhood is close to downtown but still on the West Side. It is convenient to Beverly Hills, Hollywood, West Hollywood and West Los Angeles. There are several Temples within the area. The building is a few blocks away from Wilshire Avenue’s... dinning and shopping. The Grove/Farmers Market on 3rd is a few miles. Higher floors offer city views. The greatest drawback living here is the pest problem. Tenants can be put on weekly "pest control" but it's temporary if works at all. It's hard to understand why the owner has not gotten proper extermination. Where I lived last we also had pest issues but our home owners insurance paid to have proper extermination which included a tent. The rent is a good deal but high enough that one would expect pests be controlled. Especially with so many tiny units compacted. Since the building is older it is well insulated and I hear minimal noise from other units. The property includes a small fitness center. The elevator is old and mostly doesn’t work. It often gets stuck on the 4th floor which makes me fear and prefer the stairs anyway. However no elevator is difficult when carrying heaving things. There is a laundry room on the first floor which is a great convenience. The machines work well but it is a challenge to do laundry with no elevator. There unfortunately is no parking and parking is a big challenge due to the property’s urban location. There is a bus stop across the street and a metro station about a mile away that offer an alternative to driving. When one moves in they already know about the parking situation so it comes as no surprise.
