This spacious TOP CORNER unit on the top floor of a historic 1920s building is located just three blocks... down Figueroa St from Exposition Park, home to more cultural institutions than any other park in Los Angeles. The Beaux Arts courtyard building, called the Figueroa Arms, was one of the first Co-Ops in the city. It boasts historic craftsmanship and design - from its wrought iron lobby canopy to its expressive brick facade and open balcony courtyard. The building was developed by Chicago-California Investment Corporation, who built several other 'own-your-own-apartment' buildings in Los Angeles, and was designed by Alabama-native structural engineer James Burton Cook and later finished by architect William Kirn. The condo is accessed by covered outdoor circulation, providing a sun-lit, fresh air stroll to the home. In addition to the elevator, there are gracious open air stairs with large skylights above.
