Really nice landlord
This is a pretty old building so with that comes a lot of the usual issues - poor insulation, weird retro quirks (bathroom has heater but no fan), cupboards that don't fully close, permanent stains in the sink, on mirrors, on the rugs, etc. Several times the laundry room has flooded but it's always taken care of swiftly. Speaking of, the washer & dryer are pretty impressive and can make quick work of significant loads (phrasing). Never had any issues with packages being stolen, only 8 units and... everyone seems young and respectful. Parking is tough because you only get 1 spot for 2 tenants. The surrounding residential block is chocked with other apartments all competing for the same street parking (street sweeping days are hell). Internet is fast. Fridge is fine. Bathrooms are ok. But what practically makes up for all of it is the landlord, Morice. Super nice guy who is incredibly responsive when it comes to any issues with the building or unit. I've honestly never seen someone quite like him. No matter the issue it was always resolved within 1-2 days. So props to him and his company for having terrific tenant service.
