These apartments look renovated on the surface with new appliances, flooring, and a modern interior, but the problems start once you actually live here. The floors appear to be damaged, and another tenant mentioned there was a major washer leak from a previous resident that was never properly repaired, which would explain the condition.

The biggest issue is the cost versus what you actually get. Rent is already high, and the utilities are extremely inflated. During the tour we were told... utilities would be around $150 per month, but in reality they are closer to $450. Utilities for the entire property are split evenly among tenants, which is unfair when I’ve seen two-bedroom units with up to 7 occupants.

We were also told we would have two assigned parking spaces, but after moving in we were only given one due to a “misunderstanding.” On top of that, parking enforcement is basically nonexistent from Friday through Monday, so non-residents frequently take the available spots.

The walls are extremely thin and noise travels easily. I lived in a much older building with far better sound insulation.

Overall, this place is priced like a premium apartment, but the experience does not match the cost. It feels like a cosmetic renovation hiding deeper issues and expensive utility charges. Read More

My experience working with the apartment manager, Brandy, here at The Madison has been an absolute pleasure. Soon after I moved in, Brandy took over management and I notified her about issues we noticed in our unit. She took note of all our concerns, and worked on everything immediately. She supported and worked hard for me and my partner to receive our replacement fridge. This type of service and help is so hard to come by compared to most residential managers. Upon Brandy’s first couple of... weeks, she visited every household, created a list of issues within the unit (e.g. work order requests for maintenance, parking space concerns, feedback, etc.) and tasked herself to take care of all the concerns brought to her attention. I tell my family and friends about how blessed we are that Brandy manages our apartment. I’ve seen her handle her administrative tasks with grace, efficiency, and professionalism--all while accommodating her tenants with compassion, patience, and humility even though at some points they approach her with hostility and frustration.

The first time I spoke with her, having been a tenant herself in the past, Brandy told me she knows the frustration that comes with apartment managers who lack approachability and professionalism. So, she strives to be a manager who can accommodate the needs of her tenants to build a safe and enjoyable community for everyone to live in. I’ve always wanted to hear that from previous property managers I’ve had, but never thought I would until now. In just 6 months of managing, Brandy has exceeded our expectations and definitely makes our stay here worthwhile. I just really hope she gets to stay as our manager for as long as she can. Had the best experience with the property manager Brandy she was extremely helpful and very approachable. Move in process was simple and easy which I loved!

Management here is great. Something’s may be out of their hands. But overall it’s good.
