I have lived at The Arbors for 2 years and am only living to be closer to my husband's work. I have no bad things to say about living here. I am looking for a new apartment now and am having a hard time finding anything good enough because I keep expecting the same quality as I get from The Arbors.
I transferred to Davis as a junior with my husband and cats. The Arbors was the first apartment complex we looked at, and we knew immediately that we wanted to live there. The management... (particularly Karen) was amazing and very understanding about our situation as students (i.e. we had no credit, rental history, etc.).
Once, I had to go to the ER and left my hair straightener on. I called Karen at almost midnight and she went to our apartment to turn it off!
The location isn't great because there are some seedy people on the street, but I think the gate around the complex makes up for it (just make sure your building is inside the gate). I have never really felt threatened inside the complex. It is also an easy walk to downtown and campus.
