I moved into The Carmin in August 2024 as a student, really excited for my first apartment here. The tour and the reviews made it seem like this luxury community. Clean, friendly, almost perfect. But that was not what I got. For a few months it was fine. Then in March 2025, a major water leak damaged my place. Wet floors, peeling walls, loud machines drying everything day and night. I lived with that noise for weeks. After that, the whole vibe shifted. Management’s tone changed, felt like every... request was an inconvenience. Then, I renewed into a supposed premium studio on the penthouse floor, but it was honestly dark, no ventilation, windows that wouldn’t open. It made me so uneasy. I asked to transfer to a one-bedroom. They approved, but the new unit was filthy. Urine stains around the toilet, hair, grime everywhere. We cleaned it ourselves. No help, no acknowledgement. It felt like they just let the next person deal with it. Maintenance issues just kept piling up. Fridge door wouldn’t stay open, rusted dishwasher racks. Once, I was told not to shower for a full day because of a plumbing issue in a below-unit. Hallways smelled bad, trash was everywhere, the elevators sticky, overflowing trash chutes. Common areas looked nothing like what they show you on the tour. Parking was overpriced, grocery carts were never available, and food delivery drivers weren’t able to enter upstairs. The driveway used to be constantly blocked because so many cars going in and out, It became exhausting. And then the final blow. The day after moving out, I realized I left behind a valuable rug, not expensive, but it meant so much. It was a gift. I called right away, and they said someone would contact me after the inspection. Nobody did. When I followed up two weeks later, they told me they’d thrown it away. They decided it had no value without even asking me. That hurt deeply. Throughout my time, conversations with management and front desk often felt robotic, like talking to people who just didn’t care. No empathy, no follow through. My daughter needed to transfer her lease after receiving an out-of-state internship. We followed every instruction The Carmin gave us, found a qualified replacement tenant, and were repeatedly told the transfer was being processed. After the new tenant was approved and given a resident portal, management suddenly changed their story and refused to honor the transfer. We received conflicting information, unanswered calls and emails, and felt unfairly accused despite doing everything they asked... .

if your work requires any sort of Internet, do not not live here. The Wi-Fi is awful. Lost so much money from work from the Wi-Fi.

The facility is ok, great location. But it seems things keep breaking or need repaired. Very strict rules and wish the parking spot is not assigned. We should be able to park wherever, since we paid parking. Need to be FCFS. Communications need improved as well.

its great i love the hot tub and how modern the rooms and kitchen are, the management is great and they have a lot of events with free food.
