I am sharing my experience at MAA Sky View so prospective and current residents can make their own informed decisions.

For more than two years, I raised concerns regarding an ongoing parking safety issue near my assigned space. Vehicles were parking in a striped area that I understood was not designated for parking, creating a risk of collision and potential vehicle damage. I raised the issue with management and staff multiple times.

On December 29, 2025, after becoming frustrated with how the... matter was handled, I posted a public Google review describing my experience and the unresolved safety concern. On December 30, I also sent a detailed written complaint directly to MAA Resident Care.

MAA publicly encouraged me to contact them, which I did. However, I received no response to my written complaint. On March 18, 2026, I documented the continued lack of follow-up.

Then, on July 29, 2026, I received an Advance Notice of Lease Termination at End of Lease Term or Renewal Period, informing me that MAA did not want my lease to renew and that I must vacate when my lease expires on October 6, 2026.

The timing and sequence of these events concern me. After raising a safety issue, documenting my experience publicly, and contacting MAA directly, I am now being required to leave at the end of my lease.

Because of these circumstances, I have filed a housing retaliation complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's Civil Rights Division requesting an independent review of the situation.

I want to be clear: I am not claiming that retaliation has been legally established. That determination is for the appropriate authorities to make. I am simply sharing the documented sequence of events and explaining why I believe the circumstances deserve review.

Residents should be able to raise legitimate safety concerns and communicate their experiences without fear that doing so could negatively affect their housing. I encourage prospective residents to consider my experience and make their own informed decisions. Read More

I couldn't see my actual apartment until I paid first month rent. After paying the rent, I was able to have access to the apartment. The apartment was not clean at all. The appliances are old, outdated, and rusted. The bathroom was dirty. The tub has brown stains in it and blood on the floor tile in the bathroom floor. The initial for the contact with the property manager was not pleasant. It was not until I told her I was a doctor that she changed her tone of voice. Very unhappy & very... unsatisfied. Amazing office team. The grounds are well maintained. Maintenance is always in top of request.

Beautiful apartment complex with great on-site amenities. Grounds and common areas are well-kept to look lool and feel like a resort style complex to call home.

Skyview Ranch Apartments in Gilbert, AZ is a beautiful, safe friendly place to live. I have lived here since 2010 & have never had a complaint. The property is kept impeccable, the staff helpful & friendly & the other residents a pleasure to know.
