I moved here 5 years ago and thought it was fine. Recently learned that is just because I was lucky enough not to have a problem.
A year ago we reported a severe cockroach infestation to management. No matter how clean we keep our apartment, no matter what sprays/poisons/powders we use, we can't get rid of them. It's a disgusting health hazard. We are moving now, literally driven out by thousands upon thousands of cockroaches. The daily reality of this is horrifying.
The problem is not with... our unit, it is with the whole building. But management refuses to do anything besides send a guy to spray every week. I asked that guy why nothing was working, and he told me we have a gross neighbor in the building who management will not do anything about. There is also a building-wide moisture problem that gives them a constant source of water.
Last week, they moved a new tenant into this infested hellhole of a building! I talked to them and she showed me they have roaches, moisture problems, no working dishwasher or microwave, cracks in the moldings, and a persistent damp, musty smell. All there when they moved in (they were shown a different unit before signing the lease). I can't believe how bad this place has gotten.

Avoid if you can
Pros: - No credit requirement to move in. - My experience seems to be isolated, but my building and street has been calm and quiet the entire time I lived here. - Large parking lot and a lease that allows multiple cars per unit, this was great as a car enthusiast. - Management/Maintenance really doesn't bother you. - Convenient to 20/59
Cons: - BUGS! Quarterly pest control stopped sometime last year and the bugs moved in right after. Now you can only get pest control if you request it, they... only come out once a week, and if they miss you or are too busy, too bad. - Mold: the AC system is completely full of mold. Cleaning the vents with bleach is a bandaid solution for poor preventative maintenance on the AC system. - Bad Internet: Fiber internet runs all the way down the street, right to the stop sign. The management company leases bandwidth from them and sells it to residents at a markup. I pay the same price for 1/10th of the speed. That's when it works, at least once a month there will be several hours where you don't have Internet. - Unfavorable lease: No subleases, horrible terms if you want to break your lease. Once they have you signed up, you're basically stuck.
In summary: RUN! If you don't have to live here, don't. It's pricey for the area, units are slapped together, run down, and poorly maintained. Management keeps cutting back on basic maintenance and amenities to squeeze every dollar out of this place. This place is a great reminder to work hard so that you don't have to live here.

You Will Regret It
As other reviews have indicated, management here is horrible. They do not care about their tenants at all. Every time we’ve gone to them with an issue (which is a lot because there’s always something wrong) they act we’re causing them this huge inconvenience. It’s their job to provide functional and safe living spaces, which is the absolute bare minimum, and they aren’t even capable of doing that. Please live somewhere else. There are no benefits to this complex.

TERRIBLE!
I moved into this apartment with high hopes. But as soon as I walked in, I was extremely disappointed. There were dead roaches everywhere in the apartment, and they kept appearing during the few days I stayed. Not only were there roaches, but the apartment was filthy: the stove, fridge, microwave, showers, sinks, windows, etc. But wanting this apartment to work for me, I cleaned everything up and didn’t complain. I didn’t complain all the way up until I saw mildew and mold. That was my breaking... point. I told management, and they didn’t solve it. So I was forced to break my lease, and move. If you want to move to the Links, don’t.

Renter BEWARE
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! I am staying in an overpriced executive suite as I relocated from Dallas Texas. I had planned in January to assess the area prior to making a permanent decision on residence but was hoping to just transfer into an apartment at this property if I liked the community. Needless to say it became clear from the very beginning I would not be happy here long term. The staff and management company are very shady, indifferent, and will nickel and dime you on every little thing,... regardless of whether its ethical or “just”! , The customer service I have experienced has been the worst and that is saying a lot. I see sketchy characters rolling around the community at night. Security gate is more for appearances as it’s rarely closed and gives full access to anyone. Maintenance is slow with repairs and requests.
